I believe Technology is here to Help us make The World Fundamentally better
And my career has focused on helping organizations do exactly that.
I love building teams that can distill immensely complex technological trends into compelling business narratives that delight clients with a clear sense of how to use them to achieve their business objectives. I’ve spent over a decade in machine learning / AI and whether we’re using it to target shoppers, surface rich, data-backed insights, harmonize hundreds of data sources, or enable more effective team collaboration and brainstorming, I'm passionate about how it’s being applied across all aspects of our lives and the revolution that's coming as a result.
Professional Experience
Talent Strategy | Advisory
2023-Present - At SUPERNOVA I’m working with 250+ exited startup execs to back world-changing companies like Colossal ($10b valuation). We’ve built unicorns, taken companies public, and scaled decacorns from zero to billions.
Now we’re paying it forward by giving founders the support we wish we had (the struggle is real). We go beyond capital, connecting you with the talent you need and even rolling up our sleeves to help you move faster, scale smarter, and win bigger.
VP, Global Account Management
2021-2023 - At MURAL I’m flexing my right brain to help over 90% of the Fortune 100 enable their teams to innovate and collaborate visually to solve important problems. Teams at global enterprises including IBM, USAA, E-Trade, Intuit, SAP, Atlassian, Autodesk, and GitHub embrace visual collaboration to run more productive meetings and workshops. This leads to a more creative, engaging, and fun way of working together, all in a welcoming, simple-to-use online space.
Headquartered in San Francisco, California, MURAL employs over 500 people around the world. MURAL was most recently valued at $2 billion and we’re working hard to take our vision to the next level.
VP, Account Management | Datorama Division
2017-2019 - At Datorama I joined the 35th fastest growing technology company in North America where I ran all three account divisions (Enterprise, Agency, and SMB) in North America; over 250 accounts including Nike, IBM, Sony, eBay, PepsiCo and every major agency holding company. My job was to build out the AM function from the ground up. Doing so required reinventing the function within the organization, architecting dozens of new processes and playbooks, authoring internal and external collateral, defining new standards for AM performance management and career pathing, quadrupling our headcount, and transforming our clients’ perception of our role in the success of their marketing programs. I also helped prepare our services organization for eventual acquisition by Salesforce.
Datorama is the world’s leading ML-powered marketing analytics platform, leveraging AI technology to integrate and harmonize hundreds of data sources into a single analytics platform. Datorama's average client has 70+ data sources spanning numerous channels, online/offline, multiple countries, and different currencies. In August of 2018, Datorama was acquired by Salesforce for a reported $800M to bolster Salesforce’s Marketing Cloud offering. Global Team Lead, Product Strategy & GTM | AI-Driven Ads
2016-2017 - At Twitter I focused on building out new advertising capabilities, products, and revenue streams around performance (aka direct-response) advertising. Unlike brand advertising, success in performance advertising requires surfacing rich insights from user data to serve up relevant, personalized product recommendations that drive downstream results. My team, located in the US, Japan, and Singapore, partnered with Sales & Product Leaders to develop our performance ads product roadmap (direct-response, mobile app install, product listing ads, and more), craft our performance ads narrative and go-to-market (GTM) strategy, train our global sales team, run alphas/betas for new products, and own performance ads revenue targets of >$500M/yr.
Head of Account Management & Business Analytics
2014-2016 - At TellApart I joined one of the hottest predictive analytics and marketing companies in the AdTech scene to maximize the success of advertising partners like Nordstrom, Neiman-Marcus, Saks, Wayfair, Pottery Barn, and more. As the head of our Account Management division, I was responsible for all post-sales account activities including media and data strategy, performance optimization, and client retention and upsells. I worked cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams to direct our product roadmap, scope out product enhancements, and successfully implement client programs. I also ran our Business Analytics team, tasked with steering >$150M of advertising spend by generating and applying advanced predictive models to large customer data sets and dynamically bidding across every major ad auction.
In April of 2015, TellApart agreed to be acquired by Twitter. Reportedly over $500M, the acquisition was the largest in Twitter’s history. Get the scoop here.
IT Strategy Consulting
2008-2012 - At Accenture I joined the globe's #1 IT Strategy Practice and provided strategic technology consulting services to Fortune 500 companies, NGOs, and governments. There I helped my clients better manage their data and technology portfolios, support IT investment decisions with detailed business cases, fine-tune technology acquisition strategies, handle post-merger integration, and reorganize IT organizations spanning over 100 countries. My work took me around the world, with projects on all 6 inhabited continents on Earth.
Markets & Banking
2007 - At Citi I structured partial-credit guarantee facilities, agency-supported lines of credit, and infrastructure financing arrangements for clients in the US, Brazil, Latin America, Pakistan, Japan, Lebanon and more. I also helped critique the US Dept. of Energy's renewable energy financing program.
Risk Management
2006 - At BBVA I discovered how large financial institutions manage capital requirements to account for every risk, from vandalism to economic collapse. I also learned Value-at-Risk (VaR) analysis and helped the bank transition to the new Basel II regulatory risk framework.
